Winged Triton
The “Winged Triton” is based on the two winged messengers that were used to issue orders and make their desires known. Their names were Hermes & Triton; the former answered to Zeus and the latter answered to Poseidon and the sea-nymph Amphitrite. Dali used his hands to mold the sculpture and convey the motion of the sea.
