Born: 1958; Akron, Ohio
Mark Lewis was born in Akron, Ohio, in 1958; raised in Charter Oak, California; and educated at Citrus College in Glendora, California and Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, California.
Mark did not start out his life as an artist…though the desire was in his blood from the start for the careers of both his mother and brother stemmed from the world of art. His own career path has certainly not been an uneventful one. From professional bartender to movie actor to owning/operating his own vocational schools to serving honorably in the United States Navy, Mark’s life adventures bring a raw talent and inspiration to his art. His world travels have instilled an immense beauty and creativity in the work that he produces today.
Mark has gone from serving his country to decorating it. His extraordinary art does just that…in a spectacular way!
Mark’s art has been shown in numerous galleries, and he was selected as the featured artist for the 2008 Mount San Antonio College Gallery Design and Operations Certificate Program. Mark continues to seek inspiration from many Pop Art icons including James Francis Gill and the great Andy Warhol.
